Dasmesh Girls College, Mukerian (Dist. Hoshiarpur) has been named after the tenth (Dasam) Guru of Sikhs Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, a great scholar was established on 21st December 2000 and managed by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Educational Trust. It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress. The college is affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956. It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with “A” Grade (CGPA Score 3.18 on a 4 Point  Scale in 1st Cycle) on 19th January 2016. The aim of the college is to meet the necessity of competent and quality teaching and to promote education for women, especially in the remote rural area. It is a woman self-financed private college, providing a regular course which is located in a rural part of a Hoshiarpur played a pioneering role in the field of higher education. The college has been received numbers of an award in publication, offering scholarship also awarded by the different societies with in different fields. The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Computer Application, Science, and Commerce with various specializations under Panjab University, Chandigarh. The college also offers two years postgraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, and Science streams with various specializations for the students. It offers diploma, self-financed, and certificate courses as well.
